Baby Naming Ceremonies
A baby naming ceremony offers a beautiful way to celebrate your child, bless their name, and welcome them into Jewish tradition. I will work with your family to create a joyful, personal ceremony that reflects your values and hopes. Together we can include traditional and contemporary prayers, blessings, and readings. If you wish, I can also assist you in choosing a meaningful Hebrew name for your child.
Please note that I do not perform circumcision, known as b’rit milah, which is traditionally held on the eighth day of a Jewish baby boy’s life, when his Hebrew name is given. If needed, I can refer you to a qualified mohel for this important ritual. A baby naming ceremony may be held at any time, offering a flexible and meaningful way to celebrate the birth and naming of your child.
